Volunteers

nov2011

Like may non-profit organizations, the Society’s efforts to preserve local history are fueled by a group of dedicated volunteers. Volunteers tasks range from assisting visitors as a front door docent to working behind the scenes with our curator inventorying the collection. Library volunteers help to scan our photograph collection, inventory our archival collections, and assist patrons with research.

Our special events and fundraisers also require a goliath effort with volunteers doing everything from selling raffle tickets to sweeping up after an event.

High school and college-age students are encouraged to volunteer and/or to contact us about our ongoing intern opportunities, which are a great stepping stone into a museum or non-profit career. We also happily partner with volunteer groups such as boy scouts or girl scouts, garden clubs and Honor Societies.

If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity and would like to know more about what the PCHS has to offer, please contact us at info@lambertcastle.org (please put VOLUNTEER in the subject line) or call 973-247-0085.
