Lambert Castle Museum, situated high atop Garret Mountain Reservation (County Park) overlooking the City of Paterson, is located at 3 Valley Road at the Paterson-Clifton border.

Car

Route 80 westbound:

Take Exit 57 B-A “Downtown Paterson / Route 19 South – Clifton.” Once on this exit ramp, take the left fork “Route 19 South – Clifton.” Go less than one-half mile on Route 19 South and get off at first exit “Valley Road.” At end of exit ramp, turn right onto Valley Road. Entrance to Lambert Castle is the first driveway on the right.

Route 80 eastbound:

Take Exit 57A “Route 19 South -Clifton.” Go less than one-half mile on Route 19 South and get off at first exit “Valley Road.” At end of exit ramp, turn right onto Valley Road. Entrance to Lambert Castle is the first driveway on the right.

Routes 3 and 46:

Exit at Valley Road, turn north.

Parkway northbound:

Exit 155P to Route 19, exit from Route 19 at Broad Street, turn right onto Broad, then left onto Fenner Avenue; turn right onto Valley Road.

Parkway southbound:

Exit 154 to Grove Street, turn right on Grove to Broad Street. Bear left on Broad to Fenner Avenue. Turn left on Fenner to Valley Road and turn right.

The Castle’s long driveway is a very short distance from the Route 19 exit ramp.

Public Transportation

From New York City’s Port Authority Bus Terminal:

Take New Jersey Transit bus #192 “Clifton-New York.” Get off the bus at the intersection of Valley Road, Mountain Park Road and Fenner Avenue (ask bus driver). Walk one block east (toward Paterson) where the entrance to the Museum’s driveway is on the left side.
